Father and son go on a trip to the mountains for a fishing weekend together. When the son confesses to the father that he is gay, the situation escalates: rehearsals of masculinity, rituals, violence, emotional eruptions, speechlessness and finally an unexpected ending. The film not only testifies to a family and generation conflict, but places it in the middle of an overwhelming landscape ( the Rif Mountains ), which itself becomes an actor. Hicham Ayouch was one of the six filmmakers invited by the 10th Sharjah Biennale (2011) to do a work. AS THEY SAY is the result of this invitation.
BIOGRAFIE Hicham Ayouch
Geboren 1976 in Paris.
Als ausgebildeter Journalist hat Hicham Ayouch zahlreiche institutionelle und Werbefilme gedreht. Seit 2004 schreibt er das Drehbuch zu Samba do Maazouz. Im Jahr 2005 führte er bei seinem ersten Kurzfilm Bombllywood Regie. Es folgte ein Dokumentarfilm, Les Reines du Roi (2006), ein Dokumentarfilm Ã?ber den Status der Frau in Marokko, bevor er 2007 seinen ersten Spielfilm, Les Arêtes du coeur und dann Poussières d'ange (Dokumentarfilm), unterzeichnete.
Im Jahr 2008 produzierte er dann Fissures, 2013 dann Fièvres.
