TEDDY TODAY: 20th of February 2026

TEDDY TODAY

Welcome to the ninth day of the Berlinale! Before the awards are presented, take the chance to experience the nominated films and festival highlights on the big screen. Today offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in queer cinema ahead of the celebration.

This evening, we mark a special milestone with the 40th TEDDY AWARD Ceremony at the Volksbühne Berlin. For four decades, the TEDDY has united filmmakers, artists and audiences who shape and celebrate queer cinema. The ceremony honours outstanding films and filmmakers who make queer perspectives visible and open new cinematic paths, promising an evening filled with emotion, culture, political resonance and community.

If you cannot join us in person, you can follow the ceremony via livestream and celebrate with us from wherever you are.

After the awards, the celebration continues at the legendary TEDDY After Show Party, a vibrant space for reunion, exchange and dancing that has long been an essential part of the TEDDY experience.

Tickets for today’s screenings are available here .
