TAXI MOTO

At a casting meeting in a Parisian café, the director of a film tells an actor about his failed project: he had wanted to shoot a love story between two Black men in his homeland of Rwanda but the production fell victim to censorship. Now he is reinventing the film in the conversation he is having with the actor. Together, they set off into a hot and humid summer’s day. Reality and fiction merge into one another and the project becomes an intimate exploration of what can be said and shown – a tender gesture of resistance in which cinema, desire and freedom find common expression.
